The friends beside us every step of the way
The Bride’s Side
Hayley & Taylah became friends at 18, when everyone else moved to Adelaide for uni. Taylah invited Hayley on her netball trip, where they made countless memories and even got matching tattoos. Hayley joined Taylah on her family trip to Apollo Bay. They spent the early days sitting in the car for hours singing along to Hannah Montana and giving people lifts to the pub. Life looks a bit different 8 years later, but they still make time to catch up regularly.
Gemma & Hayley became close during uni before eventually working together. It can be hard to find time off together due to rostering, but they still manage to schedule time for pizza nights and Chinese dates. Gemma is always up for an adventure, joining Hayley at festivals, Ballet School reunions, and DJ nights over the years. Gemma is fiercely loyal and always has Hayley's back - even stepping in to tell off some doctors that had been rude to Hayley.
Hayley & Sarah met at a backyard birthday party and instantly clicked. Over the last few years, they have made many memories at concerts, bars and escape rooms. Their friendship is wonderfully low-maintenance - no matter how much time passes between catch-ups, it always feels like no time at all. The car has had many sleep overs at Alex and Sarah's house, as their "casual" dinner dates can often lead to singing karaoke until early hours of the morning.
Stelle & Hayley played hockey together for 7 years, and have been inseparable. Stelle is the friend that Hayley spends the most time with. Most of their time together is spent laughing. Stelle is hectic is the best possible way - She has sent Hayley hundreds of dresses, shoes and Insta reels throughout the wedding planning process. She is passionate, sociable and would do anything for the people she loves. She maybe Hayley's oldest friend, but she is young at heart.
The Groom’s Side
Zac & Steven have been friends since high school. During these years they played soccer, skateboarded and became close friends. With Zac, Steven can be open and honest and tell him anything without judgement. Zac is always supportive and genuinely happy for Steven. Zac always makes time to see Steven and Hayley when they go to Adelaide. The night Zac was asked to be Steven's Best Man, he started planning the Buck's Show instantly.
Dunny is the kind of mate everyone wishes they had. Loyal to a fault, he has always had Steven's back and always will. No matter the situation, if Steven ever needed help, Dunny would be there without hesitation and without asking questions. He's also the first to give you a hard time and stir you up, but that's all part of the banter. Behind the jokes is a genuine mate who would do anything for the people he cares about.
Wes and Steven have been friends since primary school. Wes is always keen to catch up for a beer and never needs much convincing to join whatever Steven has planned, including the many DJ events he's been dragged along to over the years. While most people see Wes as the quiet one, he's always got plenty to say when he's around Steven, which says a lot about the friendship they've built over the years.
Wraggy and Steven have been mates since primary school and have shared plenty of good times over the years. He's always keen to catch up and loves showing Steven and Hayley around his favourite spots whenever they're in Adelaide. He's great to have a chat and a drink with, and always makes things interesting. One of Wraggy's best traits is his easy-going nature. No matter how much banter comes his way, he's always laughing and giving it straight back.
